BEHS/Hollis Partnership

A very wonderful thing happened at Hollis Elementary School last Friday.  Students in grades K-5 attended plant and gardening presentations sessions created and delivered by six Bonny Eagle High School Biology students in teacher Kate Dumont's class.  Ms. Dumont and the students set up in two Hollis classrooms and students rotated through those through the day.  Each group also spent time outside in the Hollis Elementary gardens collecting soil samples to send for testing and information.

The partnership was coordinated by Hollis teacher Jen Pinkham, who spearheads the gardening projects at that school.  Ms. Dumont's students were currently studying this topic in her biology class.
Thanks to both of them for bringing this experience to both our elementary and high school students!
