PBE Symposium training, week 2

A second week of performance based education training brought approximately 110 teachers, educational technicians, and substitute teachers to Bonny Eagle High School on July 23, 24, and 25th.  Our level 1 symposium focused on creating student-centered classrooms, where participants learned about and practiced making Shared Visions, Codes of Cooperation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Flowcharts. Making learning transparent for students, using specific standards and learning targets for classroom instruction, was another major focus.  We were fortunate to have our own colleagues from MSAD #6 present and facilitate completely.  Kudos to all of them for sensational planning and facilitating!  And thank you to all the attendees of the level 1 and level 2 PBE symposiums!

Performance Based Education Symposium

On July 15, 16, and 17th there were approximately 70 Bonny Eagle faculty members that participated in our level 2 Performance Based Education Symposium!  We were fortunate to have some of our own friends and colleagues from MSAD #6 help with the presenting.  We convened at Bonny Eagle High School for three (hot and humid!) days reviewing shared vision, codes of cooperation, student centered classroom tools, and then learning about unit planning using standards and integrating standards.  The facilitators were so knowledgable, the content was relevant, and the enthusiasm from everyone was great!
